numberED provides a strong bar code capability which includes numbering numbering and variable data.

The bar code capability in numberED permits you to create either fixed or counting bar codes in more than 15 different types. Each type supports variant lengths and sizes. The bar code capability can be used with the other capabilities of numberED with everything printed in ONE pass. Below is a list of the bar code types supported.

NOTE: numberED installation provides all the bar code fonts needed to draw the bar codes.

Codabar Old format used in libraries and blood banks and on airbills (out of date, but still widely used in libraries). Also known as Codeabar, Ames Code, NW-7, Monarch, Code 2 of 7, Rationalized Codabar, ANSI/AIM BC3-1995 or USD-4
Code 25 - Interleaved 2 of 5 w/wo Mod10 Wholesale, libraries International standard ISO/IEC 16390
Code 11 It is used primarily in telecommunications. The symbol can encode any length string consisting of the digits 0-9 and the dash character (-). A twelfth code represents the start/stop character, commonly printed as "*". One or two modulo-11 check digit(s) can be included.
Code 39

Various - International standard ISO/IEC 16388. The symbol can encode any length string consisting of the digits 0-9, letters A-Z, and the characters -.$/+% and space.
Code 93 It is an alphanumeric, variable length symbology. Used primarily by Canada Post to encode supplementary delivery information. Every symbol includes two check characters.
Code 128
Code128a, b, or c
Various - International Standard ISO/IEC 15417. The symbol can encode any length string. Code128a uses all characters EXCEPT the letters a-z. Code128b uses all characters EXCEPT control characters. Code128c uses digits 0-9 ONLY and may be any EVEN length.
EAN13
w/wo EAN2 or EAN5

Worldwide retail, GS1-approved - International Standard ISO/IEC 15420. Uses digits 0-9 ONLY. Provides 12, 13, 15, and 18 digit lengths.
EAN8
w/wo EAN2 or EAN5
extensions
Worldwide retail, GS1-approved - International Standard ISO/IEC 15420. Uses digits 0-9 ONLY. Provides 8, 11, and 13 digit lengths.
UCC128, now known as GS1-128 Various, GS1-approved. Just an application of the Code 128. SHIFTS between modes A,B, and C based on the data.
MSI Used for warehouse shelves and inventory. May be any length and uses digits 0-9 ONLY.
Postnet United States Postal Service. The ZIP Code or ZIP+4 code. Most often, the delivery point is added, usually being the last two digits of the address or PO box number.
RM4SCC The RM4SCC is used for the Royal Mail Cleanmail service. It enables UK postcodes as well as Delivery Point Suffixes (DPSs).
