For Windows PC installs, you can add sounds (both 1/4
hour and seconds) and fonts. For Windows 64-bit PCs, clockED
installs in the folder 'C:/Program Files (x86)/EDit/clockED'.
For 32-bit PCs, clockED installs in the folder
'C:/Program Files/EDit/clockED'.
To add sounds, in the
folder '.../clockED, create the folder named 'Sounds'
and within that folder create two more folders - one named 'Hours'
and one named 'Seconds'. Then the folder tree would look like:
.../clockED
Sounds
Hours
Seconds
In the Seconds folder, you create one folder for each type of
seconds sounds (ie. Gongs, Bells, Chimes, Voices, ...). The name you give
each folder is displayed by the settings panel as a new available
seconds sound choice. Within that new folder, you create up to 2 mp3
files. In the Hours folder, you create one folder for each type of
hour sounds (ie. Gongs, Bells, Chimes, Voices, ...). The name you give
each folder is displayed by the settings panel as a new available
hour sound choice. Within that new folder, you create up to 5 mp3
files.

A sound will play to its completion, so ... make sure your seconds sounds
are short enough so they don't prevent the next second from playing.
To add fonts for ClockED to use, you must have a TrueType (.ttf)
file(s). Windows provides an install process for new fonts. Just click on
the .ttf file to begin its install sequence. ClockED uses installed
Windows system and user supplied fonts.
For Android installs, you can add sounds (both 1/4
hour and seconds) and fonts. clockED installs in a protected folder
- as do all Android apps. Android devices provide a 'Documents'
folder. clockED will look in that folder for folders named 'Sounds'
and 'Fonts'. When they exist, clockED will add their contents
to the settings panel.
To add sounds, in the
folder '.../Documents, create the folder named 'Sounds'
and within that folder create two more folders - one named 'Hours'
and one named 'Seconds'. Then the folder tree would look like:
.../Documents
Sounds
Hours
Seconds
The contents of these two folders - Hours and Seconds - are the same as
described above for Windows installs.
To add fonts, in the
folder '.../Documents, create the folder named 'Fonts'
and within that folder store the TrueType font files (.ttf) you want
clockED to include in the settings panel as choices.
